Re: Share a cuppa?

Hugs @Meowmy

Right back at you, O Courageous One!

Re: Share a cuppa?

Yep she is with me @tyme we made paper chains in Christmas colours today. Tomorrow we will do some Christmas baking and then going out for afternoon tea with a friend. I do a Christmas Eve box for her, lotsa Christmas craft, big gingerbread man to decorate, forgot what else. Just stuff to keep her busy while we are busy!

one more night of elf on the shelf! Then she leaves tomorrow night.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Sounds exciting @Bow - I'm sure your daughter loved it. That's lovely.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Something I took with Mme into my adulthood, until I had to leave a violent now ex-girlfriend was a handmade miniature steam engine that in days of yore had been used to power one of the very first steam operated irons. I remember really adoring that steam engine, and would fill the water compartment, then put burning matches in the tiny furnace, close the little door, and watch the steam billow out of the funnel.

Hello my darling @Meowmy , how are you today xx

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey @Shaz51 @Meowmy

It’s been a hot one here today! We baked gingerbread this morning and went and met up with a friend at our favourite cafe this afternoon for a drink. We will settle in and watch the carols on TV tonight, daughter is excited about it!

hope that you are both ok?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi everyone - @tyme @Shaz51 @ArraDreaming @Meowmy @Abner @Bow

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas - apologies for not being on much lately - I had a really bad cold two weeks ago and it turned into an infection so I've not been around much !!!

I went to a friends place yesterday and had a great day enjoying lunch with them before coming back home and crashing again.

I at least have achieved some stuff today - I know it sounds a bit daft but I was actually impressed I managed to get the dishwasher loaded twice today.  The house looks like a bomb site so I'm happy to get anything achieved at the moment.

Hope everyone else is doing well 🙂

Re: Share a cuppa?

I absolutely relate to that mr-robot-75, my unit has been looking like a compaction of the Ukraine war into 20×25m for about 2 or 3 years now, I've never been very tidy, but I now have a hoarding and squalor problem because of the defamation I was put through, and the social isolation I experienced when my useless friends wouldn't let me talk with them about it. No doubt they saw it as "setting boundaries", when they really just don't want their comfort zones disturbed...it didn't matter that I was terrified, just so long as they weren't a little bit anxious. So I have a hoarding and squalor problem.
