Well done @Oaktree
I have not been on my exercise bike today as still recovering from falling in the garden

I'm still walking, not as far or as fast. I gave up on other exercises until I can get my other issues sorted. But I'm more active in the house and garden so I'm on my feet a lot more.
How are you going with your exercise bike @Shaz51 ?

You are kicking goals!
I am not walking at the moment but would like to be. I need to leave the house…

@Oaktree the hard part is putting on shoes and opening the door. The rest just follows and can be as little or as much as you like.

Thanks for the reminder that I can start small. I guess I get stuck in the mindset that I need to walk miles. Maybe just around the big block will be enough to start. There are some hills involved.

Hello @Dimity thanks for your example. I agree changing habits requires re-wiring of the brain incrementally over time. Setting out to complete a herculean exercise routine is counterproductive as it instills fear in the mind because the mind thinks its insurmountable. Small steps day-by-day change the physiology of the brain and make the possibility achievable and less daunting. Even if its just a walk to the end of the street for a few minutes each day.

I think you're right @Former-Member . That was my philosophy when I started.
