Re: Share a cuppa?

@Shaz51 hey Shaz, may be keep close watch over him. Hope he will sleep tonight. May be his high mood made him not sleep. Take care. Pray for you both

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Shaz51

Sorry only just got your message. Hubby came home and we went shopping.

Does Me Shaz have bipolar? If so the not sleeping and high mood are such a concern. He might need pills to help him sleep. I have bipolar and when I can’t sleep, three days of no sleep and I am in hospital. Inevitably a crash into depression follows. So sorry that this is happening when you already have so much on your plate. Take it easy hun! Maybe go see a doctor about pills soon.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Meowmy, I'm blessing out right now listening to a beautiful song called "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. That's the sort of music Edvard Grieg is most famous for writing in the 19th century, and I'm listening and imagining Grieg pouring out his love on his piano, because he loved writing that kind of music. How are you?

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Abner hey Abner, so happy for you to have music in your life. You are very knowledgeable and blessed in deed. I am having some difficulties with my mother. She is very elderly and often unwell. She was not kind when I was growing up and she isolated me for a long time. Learning to cope with her is a challenge. It is a bit of issue for the moment. Take care.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I'm sorry you were so isolated growing, it must have been very difficult. My stepmother grew up isolated too, her mother, eventhough she was very loving, made Mum practise piano and study hour upon hour every day. Fortunately Mum loved music and the piano, a love that ensures to this day, but it marked her terribly throughout her life, she felt awfully alone much of her life because she didn't get to learn to socialise and be spontaneously creative with others for a long time. That's why play is so important, it's part of how we learn to nurture and be nurtured by others, and so much emotional understanding and development comes from that...but you get toake that journey now, and it's exciting.

Listen to the song, and let it take you on a journey. Start playing. Tell me where your mind goes when you're listening to it. I keep seeing Grieg at his piano, pouring all his love into it.
