Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Meowmy, did you enjoy the line dancing? I imagine the steps require quite a lot of coordination, and I've seen country and western dancers dance them with great skill and finesse.

I've just had some lunch and done a bit of trumpet practice. I did scales and arpeggios, then some loud and soft leaps, and played Schubert, a bit of Beethoven, and finished off with some Finzi and Schindlers List. We're doing Beethoven's 9th symphony on June 24, and while I've played the ode, I've never played in the whole symphony; like your experience with line dancing, it's an exciting experience, different kind, but they're both quite exhilarating, wouldn't you say?

It's the beauty about music and dancing, it always you away to a lovely place. This morning I found a YouTube double bass performance of "The Pink Panther" and even the rhythm of music takes one to somewhere beautiful.

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Abner hey Abner, glad you enjoyed practising music. The line dancing class was for advanced. The beginners class is on during the week day that I will be working. I found it quite hard. So gave up after one hour. Went to have long lunch with friend. Was lovely. Only just got home. Think going for a short nap. Hope you enjoy afternoon and evening. Take care

Re: Share a cuppa?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey @ArraDreaming ,

I'm sorry to hear today wasn't very good...

Happy to talk about it if you feel up to it. I know you were planning to see your baby sister.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I made a thread cause I can’t talk about it here @tyme

Re: Share a cuppa?

@ArraDreaming hey Jay, love a cuppa. Hope you're okay.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I've just seen your other thread @ArraDreaming . Thank you for doing that. It is very much appreciated.

Hi @Meowmy .

Re: Share a cuppa?

You too @Meowmy, have restful night.

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Abner good morning Abner, hope you had good night's sleep. I messaged work. Will take rest for four days. It's comforting just to be at home to watch the grey sky ha ha. Some nice music will help. Hope you will enjoy church. Take care

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Meowmy, and thanks for the morning greeting. I hope you're having a lovely, well earnt rest. I had a very good time at church this morning, unfortunately our minister is off ill with covid,

Anne says he sounded awful on the phone, so he may be ill for a couple of weeks. Not great, but we muddle through, and message our love to him during the week, and yesterday I sent him a link to a double bass quintet playing the theme from The Pink Panther to help cheer him up...and we found out one of our elders, Heather's in hospital with viral pneumonia, so I was very glad I sent her some jazz music to enjoy while she's recovering, she's a very talented jazz pianist.

Anyway, I'm having a nice lunch of pumpkin soup with a Tongan donut and dessert of walnut sponge cake with lemon vanilla icing. Yum!!
