Re: Share a cuppa?

they are so little when they start school, our oldest is quiet tall and always has been but our youngest is a little thing still, hard to believe the painful screech he makes 30 times a day can come from a child of that size.
Also size 2, that’s little ours is size 2 🤭

I just need to call them back and officially accept, and then obviously give my notice. I have been there before it’s not that far, probably about 20 mins from our place instead of 10. It’s bigger and they also do more wholesale. I’m a bit nervous, it was full time but when I interveiwed back in November I asked for part time and I thought by doing that I hadn’t got the job, they’ve offered me a part time rotating roster, it will mean I will have to try and work out what I’m going to do with my lawn mowing clients but that’s ok @tyme

Re: Share a cuppa?

and yes you are right @tyme just having some reliability in my hours this year is going to be a really big year for my family so money is important 😊

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @meowy sorry can’t stay for long

Re: Share a cuppa?

Once your children grow up, you can be more liberal with $$$ @ArraDreaming - travel, buy luxuries etc. However when they are little, stability is most important.

Have you spoken to your other place about whether they will keep their door open to you if you want to return part time etc?

Rotating rosters and shift work can be difficult for young families. It's okay if children go to school, but then someone needs to organise childcare for the little one. How do you think you'll organise this?

Do grandparents live close by?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Love to have a cuppa coffee with you @tyme , @Bow , @ArraDreaming , @Meowmy , @Abner

Enjoy @Shaz51 !

Re: Share a cuppa?

@tyme It’s rotating as in I would be required to work a weekend of every few, I think one a month, and get 2 week days off in return that week, so it’s not different every week which is good, and I will be getting paid more.

the closest family apart from one person 10 mins away live 2 hours away, we have a good care arrangement so it’s just getting in the days that we would like and booking them

I’m sure my current job would consider me if I came back to them but I really like this new nursery, I think I will enjoy it, we still have a manager so in the supervising role I won’t have to do staffing or anything like that either

Re: Share a cuppa?

We’re going out for an early dinner at friends house @tyme (not sure how fun this will be with the 2 devils but it’s a friends birthday) so I better go so I can spend 20 mins forcing these ridiculous shoes onto the toddler
Maybe chat later when I’m back
Also about to call the nursery back and accept the role

Re: Share a cuppa?

Sounds perfect @ArraDreaming . Once again, well done 🙂

I'll be heading off at 5pm to make some Guided Service calls.

Speak later, tyme

Re: Share a cuppa?

Very good @tyme I’m not sure what that is though so maybe you can fill me on sometime
