Re: Share a cuppa?

I'm thinking Bananagrams, guess who, pictionary, scrabble, battleship, headbandz (my niece requested this one), 'icknolopy' (Monopoly - my nephew wants this one).... @ArraDreaming

I don't want them on any technology while on holidays.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Are they spending the holidays at your place? @tyme
Tech is such a controversial one hey! we have pretty limited screen time, gotta keep something reserved for when nothing else works but also respect that some people like none of it and some people will give their kids iPads and they use them all the time, each to their own!! Board and card games are so much fun, how old are they?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Teach them to play uno @tyme
it’s actually not as hard to teach kids than I thought, same colour or same number if you get a weird card you don’t understand ask an adult, done, and I get beaten every time

Re: Share a cuppa?

Oh yes, Uno too! Can you think of any other games @ArraDreaming ?

But yes, ipads and tech are so bad for developing brains. It drains all creativity from them.

My nieces and nephews are aged 8,7,5,4, and 2.

We will have fun no matter what 🙂

And when they are asleep, I'll tackle the "Minecwaft'

Re: Share a cuppa?

Nah mostly just the classic card games, snap, uno, go fish, that’s about all I can think of @tyme

Sounds like fun and busy! You’ll have your work cut out for you then

Re: Share a cuppa?

Yep, I'll play go fish and snap with them too @ArraDreaming . I was planning to go camping in the new year, but I believe I'm going house-boating instead in the holidays.

I hope to find someone to do my lawns in the new year too. I'll then decide whether to rent out the property or just leave it vacant - still haven't decided.

Are you all ready and prepared for your special day (only if you feel like talking about it)?

Re: Share a cuppa?

@tyme yeah once you get it cleaned up you might get a better sense of what to do with it.
yeah we’re all organised! just spent today going through everything, nothing else to do now but set up and bring the people in, pretty cruisey not going to be a huge thing just a party

Re: Share a cuppa?

Fair enough @ArraDreaming

Re: Share a cuppa?

I keep getting told for calling it just a party @tyme I think I’m just trying to play it down in my head so I don’t get too excited 😅

Re: Share a cuppa?

I am actually very excited even if I don’t seem it @tyme
