Share a cuppa?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Last time I volunteered I was really triggered by something on tv. A man that attacked me was finally sent to jail. But seeing it on tv was really hard. So I have been finding it difficult to get back out there again @Former-Member

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Former-Member that's terrible, and must have been awfully triggering while at work. It makes perfect sense that you'd feel pretty darn nervous to step back into a situation that may resemble that time and place. Have you been able to talk through this with a therapist?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Would love to join for a coffee @Former-Member and all you cuppa drinkers.

Many thanks,

Re: Share a cuppa?

I’ve seen psychologists. But it’s really up to me to help myself. @Former-Member I really need to find new friends. Someone that understands. But honestly, do they exist in real life. Or just on the forums?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Sorry to hear about your disturbing experience @Former-Member

Take care,

Re: Share a cuppa?

Wonderful @RedHorse, I'm going to pull over a heater to keep us warm and ask @Former-Member to pour you one of her finest cups of coffee 😊 *edit* you are one step ahead of me @Former-Member!

We've just been talking about the power of passion to ignite motivation, @RedHorse. Is there one thing you are super passionate about? For me and @Former-Member it's helping others, which motivated me to go back to my psychology degree and @Former-Member to consider volunteering. Always keen to hear what motivates others and the things that help us to achieve our goals.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey @RedHorse @Former-Member @Bow @Former-Member @Eve7 @Shaz51

I am really enjoying this cuppa and the good company. I am grateful to have forum friends to hang out with. I am making an early dinner for my late lunch. I don’t know how much sense that makes? I am having a repeat of last nights dinner. Chicken marinated in tomato and basil and baked in the oven, baked potato, pumpkin with peas and corn. I am going to add some mint sauce. I don’t know what I will eat later to take my tablets with but I am looking forward to my lunch. It should be ready in around 15 minutes.

What’s going on for you guys?
