Re: Share a cuppa?

Oh yes, I have seen that movie. Jack 😢

You know something @Former-Member, if you're not ready to cry that's okay too. Sometimes we can find that release in other ways such as exercise, meditation, prayer (if that's your thing), or one of my faves is connecting with nature – sometimes I can be struck by its beauty and stillness (or wildness) and it hits me in the places words cannot. When you're ready trust the feelings will flow 💙

Re: Share a cuppa?

I hate the position I’m in @Former-Member I have zero motivation. I hate not achieving in life. My energy is zero. Have looked into volunteer work. But I don’t get out the door. Ugh!  Hmm! That’s me being positive. Haha!

cuppa for you. @Bow

Re: Share a cuppa?

Gotta say @Former-Member, I've been there.

One thing that did not help me was to be critical of where I was at. For example, I would ask myself "would I criticise a friend who was depressed and struggling to get through the day?", no.

Then I'd ask myself what I'd say to a friend if they were lacking motivation...I'm wondering if that might be a helpful exercise for you too?

The other thing that helped was to find something I was passionate about. For me that was returning to a degree I started when I was 18 and couldn't complete due to struggles with anxiety. Investing in myself has been THE biggest motivator. Is there something you're passionate about @Former-Member?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi, I’m eating one of those Almond fingers from Aldi with my cuppa. The photo was too big to upload so you’ll just have to imagine my pretty tea set.

I cried at my pdoc appointment this morning and then sat in my car and fell asleep in the sun. Nothing much achieved today.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I love those almond fingers @Eve7

Falling asleep in the car is an achievement.
Crying is good. Wish I could. Although I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling sad. Big hugs to you. 🤗💖
