Re: Good Morning!

Possible Trigger Warning.

Good morning all,

I have had some issues with neighbours (apartment building) with noise both literally and the way I like to see it. But with my upcoming move I have had extra tension and privacy concerns because some students staying here are close with the staff. Sunday night, I was going to drop some of my things away anyway, but as I was walking through corridor to go out it was a bit excessive.

So I impulsively stayed over somewhere else that day but I didn't fall asleep much due to unrest from earlier. I thought it'd be soothing but the issues from earlier got the better of me.

I was okay and happy last evening. But now it feels like a very unusual thing to have done, and that I shouldn't have had to not be able sleep in the apartment I had paid for. I am also a bit anxious about moving out. Think I am having some thoughts about it as I am writing this out.

Please share wisdom and support - will be back on the forums time to time as I am busy with things.

Re: Good Morning!

Hi @Former-Member  I had a succession of terrible neighbours for years in small block of govt flats.  parties with 20 people in 1 br flat common, threats, being scared to come and go, as always seen, anyway .. wonder I didnt go mad.  yes it was completely unreasonable of them. However , it is also easy to get over sensitive to things then sense trouble every time there is a little disturbance .. I guess you are moving in there ? is it an option to go somewhere else ? prob not going to change too much re students, only thing that could change is your reaction to it..

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member Better luck in your new place.

@TAB Well that job seems to be done. See what happens.  Lawyers mostly like a fair cut.

@Dimity Enjoy some cool air

Warm regards,

Re: Good Morning!

yes, well, lawyers made it sound routine, said there is scale of fees in Germany is set times that can be charged for certain things and that while the principal is on a massive rate, they will seek to minimise any cost to me within reason by giving work to junior employees when applicable and working to set hours per task. Also gave me a ballpark figure for fees. @Appleblossom

@Former-Member good luck with the move!

@TAB I saw an article about the Perth real estate property manager who increased a tenants rent without telling the landlord despite apparently the landlord asking for it. Not good! To be honest, I’m so glad I’ve got my place through a private landlord as we deal with him direct and can account for our rent payments via my housemates account she’s got specifically for rent only. Our landlord got caught out by a property manager of one of his other houses who failed to tell him that the tenants hadn’t paid rent for 4 months yet he had to ask the property manager this himself which was slack on their behalf. Our landlord didn’t even want rental references either from our current property manager as he doesn’t trust them - he just looked at my housemates Facebook profile instead as she found the rental from a local Facebook group she was following. So far, 14 months in and really good, except for the odd issue with body corporate (he doesn’t like them) and a silly neighbour who seems to have calmed down for the time being.
I’m hoping that the lunar new year being the year of the rabbit means that this year will be more peaceful and calming for myself and others around me when compared to last year!

As for me, I’ve got a Telehealth appointment with the psych registrar and my case manager this afternoon and I’ve decided that I’m going to request a PARCS admission as I’ve been slowly slipping into depression over the past few weeks which isn’t great for me. The psych registrar brought it up in the last appointment for observation of my new med but I’m hoping that my case manager will actually do some work and help me get admitted to PARCS for once as I certainly don’t want to end up in hospital (too restrictive for me and I’m trying to prevent this from happening). PARCS is meant to be for preventative action to stop this from happening so hopefully I get my own way with my request. I’d like to work on combating my depression by getting into a daily routine of doing things instead of just sleeping/resting during the day when I’m bored and not being motivated to do many things, especially like studying and cooking which have decreased for me lately. Fingers crossed it goes my way!

Take care and stay safe!

Judi9877☺️🌻

Well if that's the deal for a Good Day @TAB , I guess I'm just gonna have to take it lol
