Hi @Zoe7 time with my friend was great - too quick though. My life still in slow motion compared to all those around me.
My fur baby been curled up sleeping all day avoiding the cold. Doesn't even want to play. Has made herself a great little hang out.
@Shaz51 sorry to hear what your Mum and Dad have had to incur over the last few weeks. Bloody Victorian health system.
🤗🌹🌻Hugs and happy evenings to all.

Slow motion is okay @Former-Member Taking things at our own pace and not comparing ourselves to others is important for our own recovery. I often thought I 'should' be doing things until I came to the realisation that no-one else is walking in my shoes and I had to do things when/if I was ready. That does not mean standing still but it also does not mean you have to run either ...baby steps are still steps forward 👍

hahaha @Former-Member Easy to describe when we have been through it and come out the other side ...still a work in progress but from where I was to where I am now are poles apart. I cannot overstate the massive impact SANE and our members here have had on that journey and how much that support got me through - it does make a difference. 😁

@Zoe7 , the support from SANE is amazing. It stops me feeling like I'm not going through this alone.
The world 🌎 is a lonely place when you're not living a busy lifestyle like your peers.

True @Former-Member - you are NOT alone. And you don't deserve to be alone either 🙂

I don't see it that way @Former-Member We can be busy yet unfulfilled in life or content with what we have. That does not mean we cannot strive for more or have goals but valuing what we do have and not feeling envious of what others do/have allows us to live our own unique lives. For instance - I love my job, the kids, the smiles on their faces BUT I also like being alone and shutting the world out. I can find comfort and joy in the little things - my fur babies, art, gardening, etc. but I also need down time to just do nothing. It becomes about balance, priorities and self-care ...the latter being the most important as the others will follow when you can say "I need time" or "I need to look after myself first".
