With the NRL season already underway and the AFL season less than 2 weeks away we are definitely into the winter sports season already. I know @Former-Member is also a keem AFL supporter and @NikNik is a Manky supporter - and I am sure we will find many others if we put the call out ...so any NRL or AFL supporters we would be happy to hear which teams you follow and have a little friendly competition throughout the upcoming seasons

...and we have the Soccer world cup and T20 world cup coming up as well...

Hi @Zoe7.  Yes thats right the winter sports season is cranking up with NRL already under way and AFL the week after this I think. Super Rugby is also happening, and the Soccer still ticking along.

And of course we have the South Africa vs Australia test cricket tour in SA currently happening.  Been pretty volatile that one hasnt it?

My teams are:

AFL - Sydney Swans

NRL - Canberra Raiders (Newcastle Nights second fav);

NRL State of Origin - NSW (of course)

Super Rugby - ACT Brumbies

Soccer - Sydney FC

Cricket - Australia, NSW, Sydney 6ers

Has anybody been keeping a bit of a watch on the winter Paralympics?  Pretty inspiring stuff aye!

No @Zoe7, I really dont follow the English prem league, so dont have a team.  I'm not a huge fan of soccer in general, but follow the Socceroos of course.  And have an interest in Sydney FC for Aust soccer league.

I love soccer @Former-Member have followed Liverpool all my life. I have less interest in the aust league though - do like seeing Wellington Phoenix do well (they are really terrible atm though) - maybe one day we can have a Tassie team in the league - same as for AFL
