Re: Just checking in.

Yoga will be great for you to get into @Snowie The mum of one of my kids last year is a yoga instructor - i get her updates on FB - very spiritual woman.

Re: Just checking in.

That's great @Zoe7 , having that support. I think the age you are teaching is like herding kangaroos. 😆. My friends have tried to talk to me about becoming an sso but that ship has sailed. I'm too old and grumpy now 😯😳. I'm thinking about trying to get work in a plant nursery, they don't have feet or mouths 🤣

I think you'll be great and it still invigorates you which is so good.

Re: Just checking in.

You gave me a good giggle @Teej Little hands, feet and mouths can cause a lot of grief but I am looking forward to it nonetheless. I have 3 boys with the same name and the really funny thing is our foal is called the same - so when I found that out I thought it was meant to be.

I love that you are wanting to work with plants - I would love to spend my days in a garden or around plants - so go you 👍 I have already told my Mum she can come in for volunteer help - need to find out the processes for the school first - but it would be good for her to fill in some time now she is retired.

Re: Just checking in.

Howdy @Faith-and-Hope 🤠

how are you? Where is the best thread to catch up on?

Re: Just checking in.

PS @Faith-and-Hope more than happy for an update here too 💜🤗

Re: Just checking in.

Sort of deliberately scattering bits around @Teej  .... if it is NPD I have been / am dealing with, it explains the complete lack of respect for boundaries that have marked this thing from the time it started to show itself ......

Its as unlikely to get diagnosed as the eating disordered stuff, owing to the fact that those with either don't generally recognise that they need help, and therefore don't present to anyone to get diagnosed with anything .... it's more that, again, the behaviours are the identifying feature, and the fact that generally everyone in their immediate surrounds present themselves for either therapy or support as a result - directly or indirectly - of their relationship with the person.  All arrows start pointing to the same source of issues / problems ......

F&A thread on this side of the forums, NAS on the other side ..... will tag you to both.

💜

Re: Just checking in.

Just got this after long reply on the other thread @Faith-and-Hope . I just wanted to add one thing too @Faith-and-Hope and it's meant with the best intentions. I don't think that a diagnosis of any sort will happen for him. I think for your sanity it might be better not to see his choices of behaviour as a MI. I have fallen into that trap often. It doesn't help anything in the long run. As you've noted as others fall around him (think of the 'bit' who will understand over time) he will eventually put the reigns on too tight somewhere. It's not and never will be your fault. You can only be there for others to help pick up the pieces (which you've always been amazing with).
Your cubs will see through lots more over time and when they have their eyes open. Mine are coming to understand behavioural stuff about bio dad that has helped them question and understand stuff from a different place (even as recently as last month).
Then there is Karma. Now that's a long wait in my experience but possibly worth it 😘😉
