Oooh, nice box! Beautiful coin. Thank you for the photos. I’m on a writer’s retreat up in the mountains. It’s my first. Don’t think it will be my last. It’s magical. Much nicer enviro than the city. Makes me wonder what on earth I’m doing in the city. Anyway, here’s some photos of the day. Hope you had a good one too!

I love being out in nature. That or the beach is my happy place. 

 

This beach is only 15 minutes down the road. I used to go for walks down here. But because of my back issue I now go to the lookout with a cup off Coffee and just sit and relax and enjoy the view.

Good morning : ) there are all sorts of writers her memoirs and fantasy/sci-fi mostly. One rewrote Cinderella with a modern twist - she lost a sneaker instead of a glass slipper!

I’m working on a two manuscripts, one is a children’s book about an event that separates some Australian animals from their families. All the little animals go to live together in a refuge for a while until they are reunited with their families. The premise it to help children understand change and how to cope and adapt and be a story of hope and wonder should they encounter significant change.

The second, is fantasy/fiction set in 2074 and the world has changed due to a type of virus that that transmits via touch. Many people chose to live in incredible pods that allow them to interact with the real world, virtually. They can dine in a French restaurant in Paris together using all sorts of technology like printed meals from the restaurant’s recipes. And later meet up with friends to visit exotic places together. It’s all superimposed in the real world via satellite technology  and they can interact with the environment safely from their pods. This has reduced the footprint on Earth to the extent it has regenerated and peace has been restored due to necessity…a collective banding together to problem solve and preserve mankind and Earth. The story navigates this world with various characters but ultimately centres on a mother and son’s relationship and how procreation evolved. The title is Three Mothers. Earth mothers, genetic mothers and the geneticists that make the continuation of life possible. The twist, is some remain on the outside. The wealthy. The brilliant. And the wise. The quest is to create a utopian future out of a dust storm. A rainbow after the rain.

These roses are incredible! How do you have so many perfect photos and how on earth do you post them!

I found a couple of coins over the past few weeks in my change. One has the train track rim of a off centre strike : ) 

 

The double photo highlights a variant that oft makes me wonder how two coins from the same year vary so much in colour. 

And the last coin, the half penny has my friend wondering what the bubbles are… We think it may be coin cancer but hope its something more interesting because the bubbles are raised so possibly not PMD…maybe gas or some metal reaction during the mint process. What’s are your thoughts on these spots?
