Re: What does your forums' name mean?

..DES comes under Dept of Employment @Former-Member @Adge  there is a number.

they are are very helpful. there are a few options, basically complaint/transfer. they are terrrible these days , dont tell you the outcome of things had them ringing me chasing me for money 12 mths ago demanding bank records etc, then few weeks later same person rang and said what they had done was illegal , and never heard anything since

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

Hey there @TAB 🙂

From what I understand, DES does come under the administration of the DEWR, however the specific complaints resolution directly pertaining to DES providers is under Job Access, via their unique CRRS which deals with specifically the issue of DES complaints about their behaviours because they are funded by the DSS (Dept Social Services) under the Disability Services Act (1986),(rather than DEWR handling the DES complaints under industrial or social services regs/Acts), because it’s a more specific service, from what I understand…however I may be wrong - it’s been a little bit since I’ve had a toe in that pond. Please do feel happy to update me if I am out of date, I would appreciate the help to catch up 🙂🌺

That situation sounds awful where they were chasing money from you and demanding financials - just terrible. I’m so glad you had an investigator who could sort it.
I got help from a bunch of lawyers a couple years back when I had a problem with social services….it was an awful situation, but thankfully they went all-in on my behalf 🙂❤️‍🩹

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

well that sounds like a mess. i had not made a complaint.was given ph no for dept employment or whatever @Former-Member

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

Ah, that makes sense @TAB , regarding the number 🙂🙌🏻

Yeah, it’s a hot mess, our systems. After digging as far as reaching liquid hot magma where my shovel melted and I could go no further, I eventually found out that an agency that handles some complaints needs to be related in some way to the relevant funding department that funds the entity a person is complaining about, while simultaneously having a direct relationship to the relevant Legislative Acts, to be able to be the ‘stick’ to enforce change upon the misbehaviour of the relevantly funded entity of complaint - basically, having the power to hold them accountable…funnily enough, not all govt complaints agencies have this kind of connection with a department, or an Act, and basically have very little enforcement powers at all 🌺

Its kind of like having to understand the metadata of systems..everything that underpins their activity and authority (or not), to be able to determine if they have the actual foundation of power in law to help 🙂

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

the agency (private company) is causing me problems.

the told me to go to centrelink

centrelink said why are you here ?

and gave me dept employment ph no

they were helpful  but have No Power

they said ask to see manager (did) they swore it was all centrelink

last heard of it, but am on exemption atm

all low IQ money grubbing idiots the lot of them....

@Former-Member

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

I’m sorry to hear that @TAB 😕

I hope there is a help agency out there for you that can take initiative as well as authority 🌺

If it is a DES/ADE/Disability Advocacy Service that receives funding from DSS under the Disability Services Act (1986) they may well be falling under the CRRS. The CRRS has internal escalation (from what I understand) to the DSS if needed 🙂

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

..too many acronyms there @Former-Member  no idea

if these clowns wont play ball will ring number got given again Simple.

Re: What does your forums' name mean?

Ah - my bad, very sorry @TAB … I tend to forget sometimes (I have a bit of memory damage and forget that I need to explain things without the acronyms!) 🌺🙂

DES = Disability Employment Service

ADE = Australian Disability Enterprise

DSS = Department of Social Services

CRRS = Complaints Resolution and Referral Service.
🙂🌺

All the very best with what’s happening, and I hope things settle down in your favour ☺️🙌🏻

Re: What does your forums' name mean?
