hi all.

i'm not sure if i can mention my first name here, but i'm a female and i'm 23, from victoria.

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here πŸ™‚

Hi all

im 18 years old and I have a long history of mental health. My main struggle is borderline personality disorder. I’m here to reach out for support form people who get it. I’m also here to offer support to others around me struggling. I hope you are all well. And i look forward to chatting with you all.

I am CozyRain and I have come to the Forums today because I have recently noticed depression creeping back in. I'm not normally a depressed person (anxiety is my wheelhouse), so as soon as I notice it I know I need to take some sort of action because it means things are getting bad.

I'm lucky that I already have a great therapist, and I also go to art therapy regularly, but everything was on hold over the end of year and hasn't really started back up again yet.

Welcome to the forums @CozyRain - hope you find the connection you are looking for!

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here πŸ™‚

Hello! I'm a 26yo cis queer woman from australia and I am here because I have anxiety. More specifically Health Anxiety, Agoraphobia and panic disorder. I've had this for about 9 years but in the last year it has affected me so much that I haven't left the house in a year and struggle to get out of bed most days.
I'm doing lots of work to better my mental health and I would really love to make some friends who are understanding of my mental health. Due to my agoraphobia, I have lost a lot of friends as most people only want to hang out in person and not chat online.

I love music, especially Taylor Swift, cats although I sadly don't have any pets, I love doing lots of crafts, I find them very relaxing. I also love doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cosy games like Animal Crossing and Dreamlight Valley.

I'm excited to chat and meet some new people

Hey @Taylor13 - Great to have you onboard! So glad that you have found us.

You have some pretty awesome hobbies, I have not completed a puzzle in forever - maybe it is a good reminder to get one out!
We have some lovely members here on the Forums and I hope you can feel that this is a safe space to share, chill, relax - whatever you need πŸ™‚

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here πŸ™‚

Hey there

I’m living with depression, ADHD, PTSD and grief. My life has felt so difficult and full of constant disruption in the last 4 years. I’m struggling with resilience and have completely given in to dissociation. I’ve been unemployed for a month and finding it hard just to get out of bed every day.

Friendly note β€” appreciate solidarity and don’t need tips. I know everything I should or need to do, just not capable of doing even bare minimum right now.

Hi @RaggedResilient

Thank you for posting here on the Forums!

Sounds like you have been dealing with a lot on your plate for a while. It's great that you know how to take care of yourself and hopefully, in time you can do what you need to.

Great to have you here sharing how you feel.

Take care

Hello

I am here to find interesting people to talk to.

I want to escape my lonely world of self.

I am trying this out as a community.

I believe that I have more chance of achieving this virtually than in reality.

So

I do not like labels.

I have been given diagnoses but choose not to think of myself in that way.

I do accept help though.

I would love to be able to change the whole system and language used within it .

Other people can use this language as that is what helps them and I get that totally.

Confusing?

Yes I am

Hey @Former-Member !

Welcome to the forums!

In terms of the word, 'interesting', I could say I am 'interesting', but maybe not to you lol. Do I like to think outside the box? Yes.

I believe labels help in certain instances, but definitely, I don't like the stigma attached to them.

In my recovery, I have found this forums community ever so helpful. It has opened my horizons.

Hope you find the connection and belonging you deserve πŸ™‚
