But seriously, I'm not surprised. I don't know much about the ins and outs.

On the positive side though, the donated book sales are doing well for them. The last big one for the year in my area made about $220k on the weekend just gone. I did read something internally that the books only make up a smallish portion of their income

enjoy your burger @Meowmy  just back fm drs, shops, PO have appt for endo thing to check throat re reflux, prob next year sometime. have to stay in hosp overnight as not allowed to drive after ,yes hosp in bigtown re procedure. taxi is over $300 lolo

ohh , symptoms not too bad lately @StuF , they want to look anyways, said can justify due to my age and not had before ok its 24th Feb. been madly trying to write stuff in diaries etc so not forgotten @Meowmy

@StuF I have bought books from The Brotherhood of St. Lawrence in the past. Mainly reference books for my preparedness stash. Was able to get an aromatherapy reference guide compendium set last year. The Brotherhood got washed out in floods a year or so ago. Haven't checked in with them. They have an online store which is pretty good. Had no idea how much financial turnover Lifeline was making out of books. Still a good revenue model. Dunno what theyre going to to to raise more funds. So many people out there today requiring phone counselling
