I had to drive a van for a residential care unit. It takes a lot getting used to. I think the worst is not knowing where the van starts and ends regarding parking and changing of lanes @StuF I think you will get used to it. You think its so big and youre going to have an error of judgement driving. I can understand your apprehension about it

@TAB I wish I could indulge but with diabetes its portion control and carb counting unfortunately. Xmas is a minefield for folks like me. I'd love to celebrate on here and be social but can't. Its all dietary requirements. Its really hard being diabetic watching other people eating what they want lol. Oh well will cook something nice and have some healthy treats and a medical medium mocktail thrown in lol !

I worked at place making gym equipment after uni. Pay never went up my duties did though.

Started drilling holes all day

Then fabrication, the driving station wagon w trailer across burbs to sandblasters. Then assembling machines, then brazing hydraulic control valves. Then clown who was driving me to work decided didn't want to anymore. Drove myself a few times then never went back.

Yeah @Former-Member  - it's the parking (reversing) I don't like. The camera screen is a bit shite and knowing where the back end of the van is, as you say. I'll be ok
