Re: Share a cuppa?

@Oaktree  that's similar to me.

I've just now battened down the hatches, tidied up a bit and lit the fire.

And a shoutout to @Shaz51

Hi @Stout @Shaz51

I have some focaccia bread in the oven. I have made it twice before and it’s so easy. I prefer the 3 hour method.

I am watching episodes of River Cottage

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Oaktree there's a lot about domestic life I don't know, like river Cottage and doing bread

You should try this Focaccia bread. Usually I fail at bread but this one works out. In a bowl weigh out 512g plain flour, 10g salt, 8g instant yeast whisk together

mix together in separate jug 1/2 cup boiling water and 1 1/2 cups tap water stir

mix water into flour with spatula until you have a dough. Pour a tablespoon of oil on top and pat it over the top of dough

cover and leave at room temperature for 2 hours

line a 9 inch x 13 inch deep tray with baking paper

pour 2 tablespoons oil on paper

Pop dough on oil, turn it over in the oil

leave to rest 30 minutes

Pour oil on top of dough, spread it out with fingers to shape of pan, sprinkle with sea salt flakes and rosemary or whatever herbs, poke with fingers to make divits

put in pre heated 220 degree oven for about 25 minutes
