Re: Share a cuppa?

It sounds familiar @tyme I have watched so many series, I forget which ones. 🤔😊

It’s my way of switching off from stress. I might check out Manifest later.

Sounds yum @Eve7

I don’t have fish and chips often, so I really enjoy it when I do.
I had Thai for dinner.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Good on you for getting out for a walk @Oaktree

I have been lazy today. Oh well.
I read about your boy on the other thread. It’s hard not to worry and not feel guilty. I’m sure you’re a great mum. I struggle with guilt for my daughter being born with a serious health issue. Nearly lost her last year. I honestly thought she had gone. I couldn’t find her pulse and couldn’t tell if she was breathing. Thankfully the ambulance was quick. I really admire the paramedics. They do an amazing job. She doesn’t let her health issue stop her from living life. She has graduated from university with high distinctions. I’m so proud of her. She recently started an amazing job. Thankfully it’s part time, so she can rest when needed. I was concerned that she would get full time work, because she’s so determined, so I was pleased to hear it was part time. It takes huge effort not to worry. I’m so pleased to hear that your boy is willing to get help. That’s amazing. 🥰

@Former-Member Sometimes a lazy day is what we need! So sorry to hear that your daughter has challenges but it sounds like she is living life to the fullest! Good on you for being so supportive. It is hard not to worry isn’t it? Thanks for your message.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I agree with you @Oaktree .

@Former-Member - I think it is a HUGE credit to you that your daughter is able to do what she does today. Also, having these challenges with your daughter's health has probably made you a more compassionate and understanding person.

I remember reading a research paper which looked and the level of resilience in children. If they had a more challenging childhood (e.g. in terms of health, finances, housing etc), they end up having a much higher resilience than those who 'sail' through.

Hope this makes sense,

tyme

TW: childbirth

How many kids do you have? @Oaktree
I only have one. I was hoping for 2. But I had a cesarean while awake and it traumatised me so much that I didn’t want to go through that again. It didn’t hurt, but you can feel them pulling the baby out. 😫

I struggle with complex post traumatic stress disorder and other health issues, so it took years to get over it.
It’s only 7.30pm and I feel like I’m ready for bed. No point going to bed too early though.
Hubby has fallen asleep on the couch. 😂

Re: Share a cuppa?

It is really good that she’s a fighter @tyme

It would be worse if she just gave up.
When we heard the diagnosis, I thought that she would just give up. So thankful that she didn’t. She was in emergency during year 12 exams. She went back and finished the year. I couldn’t believe it.
