Re: Christian Chat

@Captain24 is that hymn on a streaming service?

Re: Christian Chat

@Dimity @ENKELI @tyme @Sione

I'm acknowledging that I don't have it together in showing perfect love.

We have all been hurt in life.

My hope is to know more of Gods love for me so I can share it with others.

Wounds that can bring healing and hope as we are restored.

Re: Christian Chat

@Bessie78 a wounded healer can be a powerful force for good.

Re your earlier post yes it's hard to trust when we're so vulnerable. And hard sometimes to discern the good in those who could potentially harm us although we're exhorted to see and minister to the Christ in those weaker than ourselves.

Re: Christian Chat

@Dimity

I'm hearing you.

Learning about boundaries and what are healthy relationships look like has been good experience for me.

Hope you have a good day. 😊

Re: Christian Chat

Thank you for sharing @Bessie78 @Dimity @ENKELI ,

For me, in reading the posts, I can relate in that while being wounded, we can remember the wounds of Christ and know they were because he loved us.

Hugs to everyone.

Hope to stay connected.

Re: Christian Chat

@tyme what a beautiful sentiment ❤️

I've been praying that my work place is better and remembering 2 Timothy 1:7 (I am pretty sure I shared this verse previously). As Christians we have an amazing Saviour who, if we allow ourselves to lean into, can make all things better.

We are not promised an easy life as believers, in fact my life was easier when I didn't follow Jesus. But the natural high I get when the Holy Spirit dwells within me is better than anything.

I pray you all have a great rest of the week and may God bless you in abundance

@Bessie78 @Dimity @Captain24 @Sione ♥️💐🙏

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI ,

This was a song I learnt as a child:

If all were easy, if all were bright.
Where would the cross be ? where would the fight ?
But in the hardness God gives to you
Chances of proving that you are true.

Re: Christian Chat

@tyme I love that.

When I was still Godmother to my former friends' children I would share a prayer for grace. I gave them each a mustard seed and together we would say

"I'm a little mustard seed, my faith is little too.

Lord help my mustard seed to grow, so I can be like you."

My Godson swallowed his mustard seed so I had to give him another one but he learned the prayer and loved to recite it.

The saddest part of my friend abruptly cutting me out of her life is that I will never get to see "my" kids grow up. It's been over a year and I still miss them.

Hope you're having a blessed evening my lovely tyme ♥️🙏

Re: Christian Chat

I love the parables drawing on the natural world @ENKELI . I just reread Matthew 13.

My favourite psalm is Psalm 104.

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI

I'm sad to hear of your pain.

Not being able to see the children you have loved and invested your life into hurts so bad.

I have been alienated from my son for nearly 2 years now. He is turning 16 this year.

Learning a new purpose and investing into others at work is my driver now.

I must believe in the goodness of God even when the world seems hopeless.

Happy to see others seeking God and walking in recovery living with mental illness. Xx
