Thanks @Eve7 :). Unfortunately, my project has just reached the point of being annoying to carry around - it has grown to be less-portable. Surely, according to the knitting equation, I should be entitled to new yarn and a new project? 🙂
Yesterday my psychologist had the 👏audacity👏 to point out that even though I was having BIG FEELINGS I was actually objectively doing ok, perhaps with the implication that I should just give myself some credit or something. Like, how dare she? I'm not even sure what to think about that, hahaha.

Hi @Gwynn @tyme @Eve7 @ShiningStar @calmsoul and all forumites here. Well done on all of your knitting projects!
My latest knitting projects have been:
- knitting baby beanies for Ambulance Victoria so they can be given to parents when their child is delivered with ambulance help. The pattern I’ve found online is pretty easy and looks nice once completed so I’ve been having fun with my yarn supplies knitting these beanies for a worthwhile cause.
I’ve also been working on a new blanket that involves knitting 30 rows with 30 stitches on 4mm knitting needles which makes up a rectangle shape. I came across this project at a craft group I attended and have decided to keep knitting these rectangles to make up my own blanket which I’ve worked out to be around 180-200 rectangles. It’s a great way of using up small amounts of yarn and they’re really quick to knit - takes me less than an hour per rectangle to do. So far, I’ve completed 63 rectangles since early April with plenty more to come. The logic behind the 30 stitches and 30 rows was from a person who was helping people learn to knit and they discovered that this was an achievable goal and so, the rectangle and blanket idea was formed.
Take care!

Hey @Judi9877 @Judi9877 @ShiningStar @tyme I've just been look through this thread and being inspired by all the awesome projects you guys had worked on. I know it's been a while but it got me wondering whether any of you working on something at the moment?
I'm currently knitting a beanie. It's really my first one - I've knitted a few sweaters and cardigans but never a beanie for some reason! @Judi9877 Your mention of baby beanies for ambulance vic reminded me of these trauma teddies for the red cross foundation. It's something I want to try to do next maybe

Hi @Ru-bee @Gwynn @tyme @Eve7 @ShiningStar and others. I hope you’ve been well!
@Ru-bee well done on starting a beanie! Also, I’m happy to hear that you’ve also had experience in knitting cardigans and jumpers.
Do you have a pattern you’re following? With my beanies, I have 2 patterns that I follow and use 8ply acrylic wool for. The adult beanies use 4.5mm knitting needles and the baby beanies use 3.25mm needles and 4mm needles. I look forward to seeing your beanie!
Below are some beanies I knitted last year for a homeless charity.
As for me, I’ve worked on knitting jumpers- both adults and kids- beanies- both adults and babies- and blankets, as well as a cable scarf in the past that took 5 years for my housemates mother which I have her last year at Christmas. I knit mostly for charity and ambulance Victoria which I love doing as well as knitting jumpers for myself which come in handy here in Melbourne.
Enjoy your knitting!
