Re: GRATITUDE

today I am thankful for being able to contact Lifeline last night and to spill my guts out. The woman I spoke to was lovely and kind. She was very helpful. If anyone of my fellow formites are wondering if they should ever contact Lifeline I would definately say a big yes. xxx

Re: GRATITUDE

Re: GRATITUDE

Today I am REALLY grateful for my support team, my gp, tdoc & pdoc, who have all been so wonderful this past 12 months.

It has taken me 15 years to finally find a group of healthcare professionals I click with.

Like with other people on here, I have had some real shockers in the past, but today I am just so grateful to have built a great rapport with my team, to have their respect and to trust them to look after me is just amazing.

If you are still trying to find a team that works for you, please don't give up. I promise it is worth all the effort and drama when you find the right ones. xxx

Re: GRATITUDE

@bipolarbunny  yes after finding the good ones is the trick of hanging onto them and them not moving onto greener pastures so to speak Smiley Winkxx

Re: GRATITUDE

@greenpea Totally agree pea, I have had a few retire on me just when things were looking up, then they went pair shaped again. Thankfully this time I have a younger team! 🙂 I hope you have a better night tonight, if not, feel free to tap me up. I'll be up doing a bit of art therapy. Feeling a bit mixed so want to keep busy, put the energy to good use. xxx

Tonight I am grateful for

- having a garden to enjoy and look after

- having dinner with some  beautiful friends tonight

- being able to breathe easily tonight (after much troubles in last month with bad chest issues)

- for a few days off work to get my house in order and see friends and family

Re: GRATITUDE

@bipolarbunny I am also grateful my partner and I both have great medical teams at moment - took years to find them - and so aware of how incredibly fortunate we are to have found them .. also encourage everyone to seek second and third and fourth opinions until you find a professional who actually helps you in the way you need help - there's always another option you didn't know about or at least someone who can help you make the most of the often limited options available

Re: GRATITUDE

The importance of Gratitude -

This is what an experienced Social Worker said to me -

In Response to my Centrelink Stress -  I received Shock emails & sms from Centrelink/ DES on Good Friday Public Holiday -

"I realise this can sound facile but one thing that helps people feel better is finding something to be grateful about.

The neuroscience proves even mentally searching for something is helpful.

Other important things for feeling better are:

2) labelling one's emotions (anger, sadness, dejection, hopefulness etc),

3) making decisions (and this works even if it is not the 'best' decision) and

4) physical contact such as patting your cat and/or getting hugs etc."

@Adge

Hi Adge,

I like that advice, sounds logical, relatively easy to do and seems to coincide with my own experience.

Best Wishes,
