Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I organised my bathroom cabinet similar to this pic. It is heaps easier to clean - just take out baskets, no fluffing with bottles, shaving gear etc.  Sorted baskets into categories - soaps, make up, shaving gear, teeth, secret women's business etc.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I love that idea @Former-Member

Will look at doing something similar when setting up the  new place.

Afternoon @Former-Member, realy hope today is a better day for you.

Hi also @outlander anyone else around.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Former-Member, thank you for the gentle encouragement, but no guarantees... we had an interrupted night last night, and have been out of the house for most of the day.

However, we have eaten a few pieces of the brownie slice, so I'm sure that means it counts. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi @Former-Member, so did they sort a plane flight for you?

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Former-Member I think @Smcs decluttering idea is brilliant... works for me ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Determined @Smc had not heard of the 'decluttering diet' approach before  - but hey - whatever works ๐Ÿ˜€images (100).jpeg

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Smc hope everything is ok at your end.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Determined, I'll post something in my usual spot a bit later. Things are a bit shaky.

@Former-Member, "decluttering diet" is sort of a "thing". Various household management bloggers make the suggestion of "eating from the pantry" with minimal extra purchases, as a way of getting through the bits and pieces that drift to the back and risk going totally stale. It's what I pretty much did with the contents of my parents' pantry when they had to go into aged care. Fruitcakes are a particularly good way of using up odds and ends of fruit, nuts, alcohol, jam. This is one example of the idea. http://beautyandbedlam.com/saving-on-the-food-budget/

I do admit I'm pushing the concept with the brownies. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

That sounds like the theory my mum in law is working on at the moment @Smc

We have been forbidden from feeding Dad while mum is in hospital as he has to use up what is in the fridge and freezer before we move . Haha my response was not well received. Feed the stuff in the freezer to the dog joints us for dinner and mum does not need to know ๐Ÿ˜‚
