I did write a reply to this @Appleblossom@Former-Member@Former-Member@Shaz51@Smc
It was long and probably boring - but yes - we used to store paper in files of different sorts and eventually ditch them - I used to incinerate them now and again -
It's the same with computer files - and having the hard-drive removed seems to be the easiest way to do it - or wait until the old computer freezes up with a corroded battery
What do we do about stuff on our computer that's more or less current and we don't want anyone to read after we die? My gran used to say 'Never keep a diary - someone just has to read it after you die" - do they - sheesh - sticky beaks
But at the bottom line - one the end of the post I am not sending because on the day I wrote it my computer had a turn of being the screen freezer- this is the only valid part
Is anything we write or any receipts we keep going to be at all interesting to anyone else?
Gee - I hope not

Hi @Former-Member
You are doing such a lot of work - work I would rather no do btw - and you are being really courageous doing all of this and doing it alone
So of course you are going to feel down at times - seeing what was once part of your life getting sorted out and sent off to various places - and you have been doing this off and on for about a year now and it is all getting to the end - I get it
And B2 - bugger him - I don't know what he wrote to you but "threatening" I can hear that - he is not a nice person - like my brother - really it would be so great if he could keep whatever irks him and bothers him and makes him pick at you - yeah - he could keep it to himself - he must feel threatened himself and it has nothing to do with you - you are there to care for your dad and you have a long term plan for your dad - not your brother
Umph -
I think I recall that your brothers would come and go and your mother enabled them and they expect you to continue doing this and have changed the locks - well done - and whatever your snipy brothers are doing is the way things are I guess - but really hard for you as you deal with so many life-issues at the same time and you are concerned for your father and need to practise self-care and I hear you
You must be just about finished - I don't know how the time line is going right now
I hear the weather is very dry up north atm and there are water restrictions -
Thinking of you Lapses

Aawwww - a food diary @Shaz51
I promise you I won't ever want to read it
And I would never want to write one - I can imagine listing everything you eat - how far do you have to go with all of that - what you eat and how much and when - ummmm
I suppose you have to when your kidney - poor little kidney - is so sad - and did I read that you have diabetes? I think you do.
As if you don't have enough to do - they want you to get to write all about food
I really really sorry and unhappy about that for some reason Shaz

Ha ha the food diary is totally boringgggg @Owlunar
I have stopped writting things down as it makes me feel arrggggg
so see the dietician next week , ha ha
yes I have diabetes too but different doctors and specialists and dietician all have different outlook on what i am coping with , which is a bit confusing but I am learning things along the way which is good for me and what is not good -- still making a couple of mistakes but

I have noticed this @Shaz51
People do not agree on what is best for what we need to eat to keep us healthy
I really love vegetables - and I make a great vegetable soup - and I would have this every day except it's really not good to eat it every day - it does have an effect -
But what can we do if doctors and specialists and dieticians all have a different idea about what we should and should not eat - and then one will tell you about a plan and then the next one suggests that is not the best
Really boring - you are right Shaz - and you are not cooking for yourself alone - I know - this can be really hard
When my kids were young I started doing some vegetarian cooking - and it was noticiable that my son's behaviour was better when he was eating those meals - but
I like meat - always have - and my then-h and my daughter wanted meat too and I was totally not into cooking different meals on the same night - I never signed on for that
But I know now that it might have been better for my son to have been a vegetarian - I am not sure about everyone else - my grand-daughter is vegan and her health has been better
But I still like meat - btw - I know you must have carb and sugar restrictions and other things like proteins and certain vegies I seem to remember
I hope there is something left that you like
Dec - feeling hopeful that there is

He @Owlunar, so nice to see you. Given the past hostilities... expressed recently by my Bro2, i did feel alarmed after this exchange with him the other night:
(A) Dad is currently in Residential respite care until 4th September while I'm in Qld emptying my house which has sold. Dad is at ... ... Level-2 Bed 31 He has a single room, TV etc. DVA pays for Respite Care ($50 day). Dad has the option to stay in permanent care if he likes it there but that will require a $400k refundable bond (one of the cheapest around).
(B) I'm in Qld and should be around tonight to help you move a few things
(A) HA! Believe that when I see it - no thanks, not after the crap you said about me to NCAT.
(B) See u soon, no problem, about 9 or 10pm if all goes well. I'm going to show you how much I appreciate everything you have done I have mums blessing.
(A) Is that a threat?.
(B) Hey sis, low battery But hope to see u very soon.
(A) Do NOT come here!!! You are NOT welcome!!!"
Next morning he said:
(B) "hey sis, Just your luck, i was called back to Sydney on urgent business but can easily catchup with you soon"
Wish he didn't trigger me so much. They assume a lot of wrongs about me. Love dad, not sure I can pit up with them another season. Poor dad.
