Honestly @Former-Member You couldnt get a buyer for your Yamaha? Thats a shame.
There will be so many wrenching feelings, go very gently with yourself.
Make the best decisions you can.

You do need to keep some nice things @Former-Member, I agree, and I am so sorry you couldn’t keep your beautiful piano ..... I hope it brings the new owners a lot of joy. I had to give away my grandma’s old piano when we went overseas ..... to a church group. I hope they are taking good care of it. Feeling for you.

@Former-Member It broke my heart when the pics came up too. So sorry that you are having to part with it 😢. I just hope when you get settled again it feels good to not have to think about decluttering again. I agree with keeping the few sentimental things, especially if they are nice memories.
Youre getting there bit by bit. Keep going, you’ve got this.
Here’s a bit of hope 🙏

Thank you all @Teej, @Former-Member, @Faith-and-HopeFaith-and-HopeFaith-and-HopeFaith-and-Hope @AppleblossomAppleblossom @Shaz51 @Smc, & anyone I missed. Nice.
I've started ignoring calls (part of blackdog) so guess its good I'm here at least. Just don't wanna SPEAK the words anymore, so pointless. Don't wanna burden anyone though.
Hey Apple, knew you'd feel the piano loss with me. Not fair nobody would pay but yes, it went to a lovely young christian family with a girl my girls age when she played it. And the mum sat and played and was overjoyed, and her jolly wide eyed hubby that he and a handful of Buddy's could help transport it. They live round the corner, just moved here so don't know about my girl. I was inundated with calls after I advertised it 'Free' on Gumtree, but this caller was in town & he was so excited for his wife. Like me they find electric pianos inferior to play. So, yes, it was sad but good. Oh, yes, and he came back with a bottle of Shiraz to thank me, expressing how he wished he had money to give, lovely young man.
Well, betta stop procrastinating lol

@Teej, that's beautiful,
"letting go opens the hands to receive something new"
Haven't heard that before.
Thank you xox

@Former-Member, sounds like it's gone to a home where it will be very well loved. While the money could have been useful, the appreciation of its new owners is way more valuable in the end.
Give and it will be given to you, full measure pressed down and overflowing....

@Shaz51 I am beginning to suspect you may have had a visit from the declutter bug and there might be a few other things at home at risk of scrutiny, go girl, you can! 🙌.

@Former-Member
I have not had a chance to keep up with everything going on for you but wanted to drop by to say thinking of you.
I have found packing, decluttering and moving traumatic with a mountain of support behind me. I think you doing it by yourself with everything else going on around is an amazing effort. Sending hugs and gentle thoughts your way.
