DBT stands

Hello everyone!

I am having a difficult situation. I am doing DBT therapy to change up my life and it's becoming more effective for the second year around.

I am repeating the course to learn and change my behaviours. I am hoping to encourage others to help themselves.

I have multiple diagnoses and the DBT program has improved my life dramatically.

This program is designed to target all the behaviours. As well as if you are on a anti-depressant treatment stay on it from your specialists. If you stop taking medication it makes it harder to do DBT.

Staying on medication makes doing the therapies with DBT much easier. It's about choices but always talk to your doctor, psychiatrist or psychologist.

Re: DBT stands

Hey @Sapphire2 thanks for sharing your experiences with the community on the Forums!

It's great that you have found a therapy that works for you, and you are definitely demonstrating your commitment by doing it twice. Are you comfortable sharing some of the things that resonate with your peers?

It's so great to hear that DBT has dramatically changed your life and I think that is encouraging for others to hear!

Take care

Re: DBT stands

I feel letting people know about the anti-depressants is helpful. To recover from years of mental illness the medication is very important.

Yes, I am on my second round of DBT!

It's still is as challenging as the first!
