Sorry to butt in @mr-robot-75, a lot of men get told we're not manly enough. Just as people think we know what's normal and not normal, we also think we know what's manly and not so, what's feminine and not feminine. Truth is...we haven't got the foggiest, but we delude ourselves so that we can say "I'm normal" and "I'm a real man", or "I'm a real woman", it's our need to assert our own validity in the eyes of others. Maybe people saying you don't match their expectations is sign that you're your own person, and you're the man you want to be. That can be very confronting to people who're having to prove themselves.

@mr-robot-75 I needed to tell you that because my brother and I both fell into the same despair you're in, my brother was not lucky, but I was and my wonderful friend Bev had a word to me and said "It's not bad that you're not meeting other people's expectations, you're supposed to meet your own expectations...let others do what they want with theirs.". That worked.

Believe it or not, on a weekly basis, esp when I'm driving, I keep seeing Jay Jnr on his bike riding around the school with teachers chasing after him. The best part is when Jay Jnr turns and says "You can't confiscate my bike if I'm sitting on it!"... makes be giggle....not at you, but at the reality of the situation.
