Re: Share a cuppa?

Yeah I could put my phone away but also have this need to be informed but also consuming too much it happens for me every disaster @tyme

happy just to chat about anything as I don’t want to take up this thread with all of this

Re: Share a cuppa?

Had the tv on today @Shaz51 immediately streamed Netflix, that’s it. Turning the news off, no more.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I removed the trigger warning for you @ArraDreaming - it is because you may have accidentally pressed the icon of a triangle with an exclamation mark - that's the spoiler feature.

As for 'kid duty' - good luck. My brother-in-law is always on putting-kids-to-sleep duty and throughout-night duty. This is mainly because the youngest is getting weaned and knows that dad can't give her breastmilk!

Re: Share a cuppa?

Ha ha your niece @tyme , soo true 😁

Re: Share a cuppa?

We used to split, take one kid each but then logic came into play (which you don’t have much logic going on in your brain with a newborn and toddler) and we realised it probably makes more sense to have one tired adult the next day rather that 2. My partner works full time and I work only a few days (but I am home which is like work) so we just do whatever works at the time. Youngest isn’t generally an issue it’s the older one who isn’t in a baby sleeping jail anymore and just gets up whenever he wants.
found him in the lounge at 2am once @tyme @Shaz51 we have our work cut out for us with that kid

Re: Share a cuppa?

It's so interesting how kids from the same parents can be so different @ArraDreaming . I know many such cases. So it sounds like you are not alone.

Who knows? Maybe a third child will come along?

Re: Share a cuppa?

We see so many me traits in him, even though that can only be by pure coincidence @tyme nurture not nature maybe?

Hmm dunno about that one @tyme

Pass! (For now).
2 is fine for now, we’ll see!

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hehehehe - 2 is pleasant @ArraDreaming . And by the sounds of things, your boys seem soooooo active!

Maybe you need to make your own children's jail bed so your older one can have his own special 'space' lol.

Re: Share a cuppa?

“Active” you mean out of control? 🤣

I knew we were in for a rough ride when the baby was fully walking at 11 months almost running by 12.

We’ve tried it all @tyme, “are you going to stay in your bed tonight” “yep”

lies

Re: Share a cuppa?

We are hoping that it settles when he’s at school next year!
So much like what I remember me being like as a kid, but in a very different context!
