I don’t see that your son has any right to “punish” you @Appleblossom, and there is power in quietly saying, “I’m sorry, I don’t accept that from you.”  We can’t all be totally responsible all the time, and tolerance and not laying harsh judgement on others are important values to uphold, in my thinking.
